EAS, originally a Monterey Bay, California based company now headquartered in Tracy, CA. Established 2005.

Jacob Hunter, CIE, ASD is an experienced professional with over 12 years of experience in restoration. He used his background and specialty in structural drying to become a leading environmental consultant. As microbial contamination is most often a direct result of moisture intrusion, this was a logical next step.

Jacob was integral in testing and improving a totally new way of approaching the moisture inspection process. The IDSO developed the DryStandard report system software, which is revolutionizing the way restorers document their water damage restoration projects. Jacob continues to provide consultation on field use from an environmental and restoration stand point.

He was an early adopter of infrared thermal imaging (2003) for use in the restoration and building science environment, as well as Bio-Trace ATP hygiene testing. As a strong advocate of adapting existing technology to the environmental assessment field, Jacob is constantly looking for new ways to make the remediation and restoration process for efficient and pain free for his clients.

Jacob has authored a guide on using ATP testing in the restoration environment. It will be included in a larger publication released to the restoration industry in 2011.

As a respected member of the restoration community, Jacob was invited to provide his input into the last revision of the IICRC S500, the ANSI accepted standard for water damage restoration. The S500-06 was adopted as the official standard for water damage restoration by ANSI in May 2006.
